Of course all the books are great, but I still prefer the tirth one; the ideas are just terribly good, and ofcourse Lupin and Sirius are in it!
My top 5:
1 the Prisoner 2 the Order 3 the Goblet 4 the Chamber 5 the Stone

I'd have to say that PoA is my favourite. I mean, it's got my favourite character in it for the first time!! Sirius!!
And then it would go like this:
Goblet of Fire Order of the Phoenix (sadly, I hated this book) Sorcerer's Stone (Also known as Philosopher's) Chamer of Secrets

Well, of course Sirius's death was a mjor issue, lol, but I really was disappointed. I thought it could have been a lot better. But hey, that's just me.

Yeah, I'm with you guys. I liked PoA the best too. I wasn't too hot on the Order of the Phoenix, I think it was a bit annoying how Harry was so angsty and kinda spoilt throughout that book.

I think it was a bit annoying how Harry was so angsty and kinda spoilt throughout that book. Yeah, you're right about that infact... I was also just talking with a friend about the fact that Harry's supposed to be 15 years old and he's really childish to be that age, isn't he?? I mean, the way he tinks of girls please! Anyway... apart from some bits, I still liked the book.

I liked the books, all of them (ofcourse) but because order was the last I read, I still think it's the best. But I dunno, I'm not anymore such a big fan... I just can't read it anymore, everytime I try, I always stop for some reason, and don't continue It almost a year ago that I last read them, but I suppose it is because I'm really 'lotR' these days... Ah well, maybe I'll want to read it again later

My favorite's NOT PoA (however Sirius is in it and it's a awsome book) but still, I like the Goblet better... The plot's just terrific, and the end is the stongest part Rowling has ever written....

In fact, what I wondered about (I hope it fits here), is why The Philosopher's Stone was called The Sorcerer's Stone in America. Why couldn't they just leave it like it was?

Probably because those Americans didn't know the word 'Philosopher'? ;D And I guess the books were also kinda 'translated' from British into American English... Or am I wrong?

No, you're right. The earlier books more so than the newer ones. I don't know why they couldn't just leave it as is, either. I mean, that's just sort of dumb, but whatever.
